Tha Carry Out is a live music performance platform and cultural initiative by GOGO Global, created and presented by DC's own Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer Tone P. Filmed inside a custom-built Chinese takeout restaurant set paying homage to the iconic neighborhood spots known across Washington, D.C. simply as “Carry-Outs”, the platform blends live music, storytelling, and cultural conversation into a uniquely D.C. experience.
 

Operating in the spirit of intimate live performance platforms, Tha Carry Out hosts artists from all genres in a stripped-down setting where their music is reimagined through the rhythm and energy of Washington, D.C.’s official music: Go-Go. Each performance features live musicians performing songs over a Go-Go inspired groove, transforming familiar records into something distinctly rooted in D.C.’s musical DNA.

 

A Culture Platform, Not Just a Performance

Tha Carry Out is designed as more than a music stage, it’s a D.C. culture platform.

Each episode highlights the broader cultural ecosystem that surrounds the city’s sound. Between performances, artists participate in interview segments filmed inside the carry out set where conversations explore music, community, creativity, and identity.
